It’s a new year, and I’m truly looking forward to seeing what this season will bring. With every new year comes reflection, growth, and a little push to step outside of what feels comfortable. For me, this year is about getting out of my comfort zone, networking more, and trusting the process even when it feels uncomfortable.

Being in a different state hasn’t been easy. Moving away from home meant starting over in so many ways, especially when it comes to building my customer base. Back home in Texas, my customers were family and friends who supported me from day one, and that support naturally led to more customers. Here, I’ve had to learn how to introduce myself and Lavender Bliss all over again. And as an introvert… whew 😅, that hasn’t always been easy.

One thing I’ve realized is that sometimes the biggest thing holding us back is ourselves. I tend to want everything to be perfect—the setup, the display, the details. I want it to look just right before I put myself out there. But I’m learning that perfection can become a form of procrastination. Growth doesn’t happen when we wait for the “perfect” moment—it happens when we show up anyway.

This year, I’m choosing to get out of my own way. I’m choosing courage over comfort, progress over perfection, and faith over fear. Lavender Bliss is more than just baked goods it’s a reflection of my journey, my passion, and my willingness to try even when I’m unsure.

If you’re reading this and you’ve been hesitating to take a step, start something new, or put yourself out there, let this be your sign. You don’t have to have everything figured out. You just have to start. We grow as we go.

Here’s to new beginnings, bold steps, and trusting what’s ahead for Lavender Bliss and for all of us. 💜
